The Super Mario Bros. (Overworld) Theme song!

Written by Luis A-Solis

Tabbed by Chris Vandergaag

*** NEW AND IMPROVED WITH ERRORS CORRECTED! YOU A WINNER! HA HA! ***

It sang to you incessantly for hours, every day. It looped on and on,
through meals, though afternoon classes, and all through the night...
it penetrated your psyche, physically etching notes onto the surface
of your brain. All told, it stole approximately a third of your
childhood. And now, it's back!! Hooray!

Transcribed below are the melody lines and some bass/harmony filler for the
Super Mario Bros. overworld theme song, arranged for 1 guitar. It's
the same as the version you'll hear on the Nintendo Entertainment System game
pak, and it's in the right key, so play along! Bip!

I've supplied the chords as well, so for best results have a second guitar
back you; playing the chords in OPEN position, using the most hilarious
imaginable rhythms.

Chords used:

C
 Em
 F
 G
(Dm, Ab, Bb... but only in a couple of spots; this is pretty much a C tune.

Tips: For the first bar of Fig. 1, use the standard C shape as your base.
For Fig. 3, barre two or three strings at the 5th fret whenever you go
to play your C... it'll make it easier to play in this voicing...
